This role drives technical success by designing and delivering comprehensive solutions tailored to federal and defense missions.

You will partner with customers and internal teams to craft proposals, present at industry events, and shape Akamai's public sector strategy.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in technical architecture and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of federal and defense missions in the public sector.
• Proven experience contributing to and writing technical proposals, white papers, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Technical presentation skills with experience speaking at industry events and webinars.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with government customers and technology partners.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, take ownership of challenges, and drive outcomes in complex situations.

Responsibilities

• Leading and contribute to technical sections of proposals and white papers for public sector RFPs and RFIs.
• Serving as a public-facing technical expert for Akamai at industry events, conferences, and webinars
• Engaging with public sector customers, understanding their mission-critical needs
• Working closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams
• Representing Akamai as a thought leader on topics like cloud security, edge computing, and web application protection.
• Leading technical solution development, stitching together Akamai's portfolio to meet the unique requirements of public sector missions.
