Job summary

SMPS Central Pennsylvania Chapter is seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Coordinator to join our Business Development team in York, PA. The role focuses on preparing and coordinating qualification and proposal documents to develop responsive submissions.

You will manage multiple deadlines, coordinate inputs from technical personnel, and assemble professional proposal materials for both print and digital formats, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring three in-office days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of one year of relevant professional experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud programs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Graphic design or graphic arts experience is a plus.
• Professional, dependable, and collaborative approach to working with technical and non-technical team members.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs and RFPs to determine pursuit viability and opportunities.
• Develop proposal planners outlining required materials and information.
• Coordinate and support information demonstrating firm experience on similar projects.
• Assemble and review printed and digital proposal submissions.
• Arrange delivery of approved final submittals to clients.
• Assist with graphics and visual materials for proposals and presentations.
• Complete proposal closeout activities and update internal databases.
• Support development of print and digital marketing materials.
• Assist with implementation of the firm's social media marketing program.
• Maintain Business Development database (Unanet).
• Conduct client and market research to support SBUs.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and leadership to meet deadlines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
