Placements24 is seeking a results-driven Project Chemical Engineer to lead and deliver chemical engineering projects in Paarl. The hybrid role blends on-site oversight with remote coordination, guiding scope, budgets, timelines, and vendor collaboration from conception to completion.

You will coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement and construction teams, manage external contractors, monitor progress, and report to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Adaptable to a hybrid work model, requiring presence in Paarl for key project phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and close-out of chemical engineering projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and contingency planning.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, and construction teams throughout project lifecycle.
