Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Project Accountant to ensure accurate financial data entry and reporting across accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and month-end close. You will work with management and project teams to maintain data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness in a hybrid role.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in cost accounting within construction or telecom, knowledge of JD Edwards, and solid Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in an operational cost accounting role
• Experience in commercial construction, telecom or related industry preferred
• Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP is preferred
• Working knowledge of construction methods
• Financial acumen regarding equipment utilization, rates and profitability analysis
• Working knowledge of construction accounting principles and software systems
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage project cost control systems
• Interpret and communicate contractual and commercial terms
• Deliver accurate cost reporting and insights to leadership
• Support collective agreement development and execution
• Coordinate invoicing documentation and compliance certificates
• Prepare and submit LEM reports, progress billings and holdbacks
• Validate third‑party invoices and reconcile billing
• Monitor equipment usage, rental agreements and subcontractors
• Support project managers with change orders, payroll coordination and month‑end journal entries
