Job summary

Volunteers of America seeks a Project Director to provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the RESTART Intermediary initiative, ensuring program success across sites and sub-grantees. The role ensures compliance with DOL requirements.

The position is full-time (40 hours) with both on-site and hybrid work schedules. Grant-funded through Dec 31, 2029, the role requires strong leadership and grant-management experience to drive outcomes and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 7–10+ years of experience managing federal or workforce grants.
• Experience with reentry or justice-involved populations preferred.
• Strong leadership and compliance skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time leadership for grant implementation across sites and sub-grantees.
• Oversee program launches and execution across all sites; ensure alignment with requirements.
• Lead sub-grantee oversight, performance, compliance, and TA.
• Ensure delivery of training programs, career services, and supportive services.
• Report quarterly performance and narrative updates to the DOL.
