Job summary

Pitney Bowes is seeking a Product Researcher in Experience Design to lead mixed-methods research, uncover customer jobs, and shape product direction. You’ll partner daily with product, engineering, data, and go-to-market teams across PLG and SLG shipping and mailing software.

You will conduct interviews, field studies, and usability tests, build personas and journey maps, and communicate insights with strong storytelling to inform the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of applied UX, product, or design research experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluency across qualitative and quantitative methods with sound judgment about method selection.
• Working knowledge of survey design and basic quantitative analysis.
• Strong moderation skills that surface actual customer behavior.
• Experience with moderated and unmoderated remote research.
• Familiarity with research and analytics tools such as UserTesting, dscout, Power BI, FullStory, or Pendo.

Responsibilities

• Discovery: conduct interviews, field visits, and surveys to identify customer jobs and unmet product needs.
• Evaluation & Measurement: design and run tests, benchmark studies, and track experience metrics to show impact.
• Communication & Deliverables: report findings with evidence and maintain personas and journey maps for decision support.
• Research Practice & Operations: recruit participants, manage study templates, and share guidance for design teams.
