Job summary

GEICO in the United States (Houston hybrid) seeks an experienced lead privacy professional to drive data privacy programs, risk assessments, and governance across the organization.

The ideal candidate has IAPP certification, 7+ years of experience, and knowledge of CCPA/GLBA; OneTrust experience is required. This role includes incident response leadership, regulatory change management, and notices and policies development. On-site 3 days weekly at a GEICO office.

Qualifications

• IAPP certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information system management, or related field.
• 7+ years experience in supporting data privacy programs.
• Experience in a regulated financial services industry role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Privacy Assessments and Privacy by Design initiatives including collaboration with business/technical stakeholders and development of associated reporting that accurately identifies privacy risk and recommendations.
• Support Director in management reporting and communication of program maturity and privacy risk.
• Support ongoing optimization of GRE tools. OneTrust experience required.
• Provide effective leadership for data privacy incident response.
• Assist in development of notices, policies and procedures
• Support regulatory change management including creation of operational privacy action plans and privacy by design requirements.
