Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to shape the design, integration, and delivery of advanced aerospace systems. You will lead cross‑functional teams, drive requirements, and mentor engineers to ensure performance and safety at mission scale.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this hybrid role combines hands‑on technical leadership with strategic program execution to keep Honeywell at the forefront of aerospace innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronics/Computers/Aerospace Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in Avionics, Navigation and Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS‑B, DME, UAT).
• Adept in systems integration of complex systems, system test procedures and reviews.
• Ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively

Responsibilities

• Lead customer interactions and ensure timely and successful delivery of programs within scope and budget.
• Systems/software requirements development, validation, integration or verification.
• Work across disciplines, collaborating with cross‑functional teams consisting of Systems, Software, Hardware and Test Engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovative solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving capabilities and can work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems engineering.
• Oversee the integration and testing of complex systems, ensuring that they meet performance and quality standards
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
