Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Torrance, CA is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to join the environmental control systems engineering team. You will design, implement, and manage complex mechanical systems, driving innovation, safety, and efficiency on cutting‑edge aerospace projects.

The role requires experience in requirements-based engineering, system testing, MBSE with CAMEO/SysML, and strong communication to technical leads and customers. Hybrid work schedule, no relocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical‑systems‑related engineering experience.
• Fundamental understanding of stress, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, or heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical systems and equipment integration and oversight.
• Coordinate with component and analysis teams to ensure successful system.
• Support for system architecture trade studies.
• Present trades for cost, weight, performance, technical, and schedule risk.
• Develop a set of requirements that will result in product that satisfies a customer’s requirements.
• Create and execute verification plans to ensure the design meets requirements (Verification).
• Plan and execute system level tests (e.g. Performance, Environmental, Vibration).
• Clearly convey technical content to Technical Leads, Customers, and Management.
• Maintain traceable documentation to support program execution.

Education
