Job summary

Phipps Houses seeks qualified Porter/Concierge candidates for a hybrid role at a new development in Far Rockaway, Queens. Work four days as a Porter and one day as a Concierge, with potential to transition to full-time Concierge as the site grows.

Candidates should have customer service strengths, be proficient with Outlook, and demonstrate reliability and professionalism in a residential setting. High school diploma preferred; authorized to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• One to three months prior experience related Porter or Custodial experience and/or training.
• Prior experience as a concierge in residential building preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be proficient with a computer and be familiar with using Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong professional presence and be well spoken with residents and guests.
• Enter and track work orders submitted by residents or staff.
• Maintain proper access and security of the building for residents, employees and guests.
• Screen all visitors and announce welcomed visitors via intercom.
• Assist with retrieving packages for tenants from the package room.
• Ensure package room is maintained in an orderly manner.
• Assist with other duties assigned by management.
