Job summary

Sentry is seeking a leader to head Platform Engineering, responsible for reliability, performance, and evolution of critical platforms powering enterprise IT operations.

You will oversee platforms spanning messaging, observability, workload automation, and secure data exchange, working with RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Dynatrace, Control-M, and Valkey in a dynamic environment. This role shapes tools, processes, and standards across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Experience building and operating large-scale technology platforms.
• Awareness of multiple public cloud providers, self-service concepts, automation, and DevOps.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven track record of solution delivery and project management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to automate and improve infrastructure and platform provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and incident response processes.
• Identify opportunities for automation and self-service within IT operations.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure technology projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
• Design, implement, and execute practices to maintain operational availability, performance, security, and cost effectiveness.
• Actively manage 3rd party relationships from a procurement, vendor performance, and value realization perspective.
• Maintain a broad conceptual understanding of the latest technology trends and evaluate their applicability to the business and operational environment.
