Job summary

Sentry Insurance is seeking an Infrastructure & Platform Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for the reliability, performance, and evolution of enterprise platforms powering our IT operations. You will drive cross-functional automation, oversee messaging, observability, and data exchange using RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Dynatrace, Control-M, and Valkey in a hybrid Stevens Point environment.

The role focuses on leadership, budget discipline, vendor management, and delivering impactful IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience required.
• Experience building and operating large-scale solutions in technology & infrastructure services.
• Awareness of multiple public clouds, self-service concepts, automation, and DevOps principles.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and delivery track record.
• Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Automate and improve infrastructure and platform provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and incident response.
• Identify opportunities for automation and self-service within IT operations.
• Plan, execute, and deliver infrastructure technology projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Design and implement practices to maintain availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Manage 3rd party relationships from procurement to vendor performance.
• Stay informed on latest technology trends across disciplines and assess applicability.
