Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Piping Engineer for its Building Mechanical group. The role supports state-of-the-art industrial facilities, with hybrid work across Jacobs locations. You will drive piping design tasks, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years piping design, and PE licensure. Travel up to 10% may be required; the team values collaboration and delivering cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years’ piping design experience for industrial/ commercial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.
• Ability to lead a piping design team.

Responsibilities

• Navigate piping design processes and apply relevant codes.
• Perform piping systems concept development.
• Generate piping design calculations including sizing.
• Create P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams.
• Coordinate with project team members and other disciplines.
• Perform static pipe stress analysis and QA of drawings.
• Mentor junior staff and lead design efforts within piping discipline.
