Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a high-energy Piping Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team. You will design state-of-the-art industrial facilities, coordinate piping discipline tasks, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions that meet client needs.

You will lead a design team, perform piping calculations, generate P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams, and coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and process disciplines across locations.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of piping design experience for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Willingness to travel (estimated travel time 10%).
• Professional Engineering License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate piping discipline tasks within project teams.
• Generate P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams.
• Perform piping design calculations including equipment sizing and pipe sizing.
• Perform static pipe stress analysis.
• Lead a design team within the piping discipline.
• Collaborate with other disciplines across locations.
