Advocate Health, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Full-time Pharmacy Technician for the Retail Pharmacy - Specialty Drug Management department. Hybrid schedule includes Monday–Friday, 8:30–5:00 with 40 hours weekly and benefits eligibility.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 3 years in healthcare or related fields, and national certification (CPhT or ExCPT). Knowledge of Medicare/insurance processes is preferred. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 3 years of experience in health care, insurance industry, pharmacy, or medical background.
• Prefer 2 years of retail pharmacy experience; familiarity with insurance troubleshooting, prior authorizations, and copay assistance.
• Must be computer savvy and able to work in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Serves as an expert with equipment and technology in the specialized area.
• Problem solves technical issues in the specialized area as they arise.
• Ensures documents and records are accurate and completed in a timely fashion.
• Supports communication with patients and care team.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Participates in site or system specialized work teams and committees.
