Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for API Specialty Pharmacy - Retail Pharmacy in Wisconsin. This full-time role requires 40 hours per week with Monday–Friday 8 AM–6 PM and Saturday 9 AM–1 PM availability.

You will perform area-specific tasks, support patient care, and ensure accurate records. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and an Associate’s degree in Pharmacy Technology for some roles; state licensure (or eligibility) and CPhT/ExCPT certification are

Qualifications

• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and be understood by others.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic mathematics and data entry accuracy required.
• Background in medical terminology preferred.
• Proficient with office software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Acts as an expert with equipment and technology in the specialty area.
• Solves technical issues as they arise in the specialized area.
• Keeps documents and records accurate and timely.
• Supports communication with patients and care teams.
• Identifies quality improvements to enhance patient care and safety.
• Implements operational changes and standardization at site or system level.
• Participates in teams and committees as applicable.
• Complies with regulatory standards and maintains knowledge of best practices.
• Travels between pharmacy locations as needed.
