Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA seeks a Full-Time Payroll Associate to join our Payroll Department. The role supports biweekly payroll for multiple employee groups, with deadlines every other Thursday, using Workday, Kronos, and PeopleSoft.

You will review timekeeping, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with tax filings, garnishments, and bank processes. Hybrid work requires three days on-site with MA residence preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll processes and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate biweekly payroll for assigned groups, ensuring accurate and timely paychecks.
• Review Kronos timecards, identify discrepancies, and adjust as needed.
• Perform online payroll edits from Kronos-to-Workday interface and resolve errors.
• Calculate and verify complex payroll data including gross pay, taxes, and leaves.
• Run biweekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll processing tasks.
• Process transactions using Workday, Kronos, PeopleSoft and other systems.
• Handle off-cycle and supplemental payrolls when necessary.
• Prepare biweekly payroll tax payments and quarterly returns.
• Audit payroll and retroactive pay activity in Workday and reconcile data.
• Monitor, audit, adjust, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reconciliations and AP check requests.
• Process garnishment orders and biweekly payments.
• Support Rapid Pay Card processing.
• Respond to VOE requests and subpoenas.
• Assist employees with Kronos and Workday self-service questions.
• Explain payroll policies and system codes clearly.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate with stakeholders.
