Pro Staff, Acton, MA, is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage biweekly multi-state payroll for 3,000+ employees using Workday. Hybrid work style with on-site presence about three days per week. Strong regulatory, accuracy, and process-improvement skills are essential.

Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and have at least 5 years of multi-state payroll experience, with advanced Excel and Workday expertise. International payroll support is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of multi-state payroll processing experience.
• Extensive experience with Workday Payroll required.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting international payroll processes preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly multi-state payroll for 3,000+ employees using Workday.
• Audit payroll data including hours, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Reconcile payroll reports and validate payroll accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Process off-cycle payrolls for corrections, terminations, and bonus payments.
• Partner with HR and Finance teams to maintain employee data accuracy.
• Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 reconciliation.
• Maintain payroll documentation and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Provide backup support for international payroll operations.
