Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Payroll Specialist for St. Louis, MO on a hybrid schedule to manage payroll operations and ensure accurate processing of payroll data.

The ideal candidate will handle timecard data, enter information into the payroll system, and maintain confidentiality of all company, employee, and customer data. You will ensure wages comply with collective bargaining agreements, process changes (hires, promotions, terminations, transfers, leaves, garnishments), and respond to

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with payroll software and systems (eCMS preferred).
• Strong Excel skills and data confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Enter payroll data accurately and timely into the payroll system.
• Analyze timecard data and ensure correct payroll processing.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, employee, and customer data.
• Ensure wages comply with collective bargaining agreements.
• Process payroll changes: new hires, promotions, terminations, transfers, leaves, garnishments, manual checks.
• Ensure compliance and detect discrepancies to prevent errors.
• Respond to management and employee inquiries promptly.
• Submit reports for prevailing wage compliance.
• Scan and archive payroll documents per policy.
