Job summary

Baxter Shared Services is seeking a Payroll Specialist based in the Omaha metro area to manage multi-location payroll with Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will deliver excellent service to employees and managers, handle garnishments, audits, and pay adjustments, and collaborate with HR on benefits and new hires. A bachelor’s degree and payroll experience are required.

This on-site role offers a flexible schedule (7am–6pm, 1 remote day) and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• On-site role based in the Omaha, NE metro area.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Payroll experience and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver excellent customer service on a tight schedule.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain payroll data in Paylocity accurately.
• Provide payroll support to employees and managers.
• Administer employee garnishments in compliance with laws.
• Process manual checks, stop payments, voids and retroactive pay adjustments.
• Perform payroll audits before and after processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Review time and attendance with managers to resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with leadership on pay plans, commissions, and bonuses.
• Assist with employment verifications and HR data maintenance.
• Identify payroll process improvements and escalate risks as needed.
