Baxter Shared Services in Omaha, NE seeks an Employment Practices Manager (HR Manager) to lead complex employee relations, investigations, and policy implementation across multiple states. You will partner with store leaders and legal counsel to ensure compliance and foster a respectful, high-performing workplace.

The role requires strong collaboration, discretion, and experience with leave management, unemployment processes, and HR policy development, with travel to assigned locations across

Qualifications

• 5+ years in complex employee relations with emphasis on investigations and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations (EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, WC).
• Ability to travel to store locations across Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, and Wisconsin.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and respond to sensitive concerns and investigations.
• Develop leaders in performance management and employment policies.
• Provide training on employment-related topics and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage LOA processes (FMLA, ADA, Short/Long-Term Disability, workers’ comp).
• Oversee unemployment claims and worker authorization processes.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on screening results and escalations.
• Partner with Benefits to coordinate employment-related topics.
• Lead HR projects, policy updates, and vendor partnerships.
