Xenium HR is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our payroll, benefits, and HR service teams. You will handle multi-state payroll processing for a range of small and mid-sized clients across the Pacific Northwest, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; minimum two years payroll processing experience or equivalent.
• Multi-state payroll knowledge required.
• Passion for managing and delivering Payroll services.
• Experience with multiple clients preferred.
• Prism HR platform experience preferred.
• Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
• Exceptional customer service and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll for various clients with different worksite setups.
• Audit payrolls, W-4s, and related codes; ensure IRS compliance and accurate PTO accruals.
• Provide timely, accurate, and compliant responses to client inquiries.
• Maintain payroll records, including deductions, garnishments, and special payroll runs.
• Apply payroll principles across taxes, PTO, and employee data in the payroll system.
• Communicate clearly and calmly with clients and coworkers under pressure.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality client experiences.
• Follow directions from managers while upholding Xenium Core Values.
• Maintain timekeeping platforms and related reports across systems.
• Enter and audit client data in ClientSpace and other designated systems.
