Catalyst Family Inc. in Morgan Hill, CA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate payroll processing and serve as the primary contact for payroll inquiries. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in payroll/HR or related data entry with knowledge of wage and tax laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Preferred AA degree in Accounting, HR or general business.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll, HR, Accounting or related data entry.
• Basic knowledge of Wage and Tax Laws as related to payroll.

Responsibilities

• Review time data for missing information or errors.
• Rectify data discrepancies by contacting supervisors and managers.
• Enter approved payroll corrections for prior pay adjustments.
• Calculate retroactive payments and manual adjustments as necessary.
• Process termination pays and coordinate with HR on leaves of absence.
• Maintain payroll records for wage and tax reporting.
• Answer employee questions about pay and accruals.
• Perform self-audit and audit of others' payroll entries.
• Other duties as assigned.
