Job summary

Summit Health Management in New Providence, NJ, is looking for a Patient Service Representative to support behavioral health services in a hybrid role. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, handle referrals, and maintain patient records with confidentiality.

The role requires strong communication, data entry accuracy, and experience with EHR/Practice Management Systems. Hybrid schedule includes 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Associate Degree preferred.
• Heartsaver within 30 days of hire.
• Previous PSR experience preferred.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Accurate data entry skills and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients/family and schedule appointments, hospital and ambulatory admissions/procedures.
• Answer telephone promptly and direct calls appropriately with proper etiquette.
• Schedule future appointments, tests, and referrals as ordered by physician.
• Maintain on-call schedule and beeper/MD contact information.
• Prepare patient charts and ensure forms are filed correctly.
• Obtain and verify patient information and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with clerical duties including faxing, copying, filing, and mailing.
