Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls and faxes, takes orders for durable medical equipment and supplies
• Maintains open communication with patients/clients and referral sources
• Responds to patient/client questions and problems
• Serves walk-in customers as needed
• Enters data for new or existing orders accurately in the system
• Processes orders for shipping or dispatching to technicians or deliveries
• Verifies medical necessity with physicians and checks eligibility with insurers
• Informs patients of copays, deductibles, and payment responsibilities
• Attends departmental and company meetings and adheres to policies
