Job summary

Elekta is seeking a Patent Paralegal to support our patent portfolio in coordination with patent attorneys, engineers, and external counsel. You will manage docketing, portfolio administration and records, while preparing global filings with European and UK offices as needed.

Strong IP-related experience and precise organizational skills are essential. You'll work with patent records, liaise with external attorneys, and help implement process improvements across the IP function.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Patent Paralegal or Patent Administrator.
• CIPA IPPC certificate or equivalent.
• CIPA APPC certificate would be advantageous.
• Experience using patent management or docketing systems.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patent records, including filings, publications, grants and portfolio updates.
• Manage patent formalities, including European validations, renewals and documentation.
• Coordinate IP documentation, including assignments, inventor declarations and powers of attorney.
• Support integration of IP assets after acquisitions or restructurings.
• Liaise with external patent attorneys and IP service providers; support procurement activities.
• Lead inventor recognition programmes and support internal IP initiatives.
• Serve as key contact for patent administration queries and process improvements.
• Assist filings and correspondence with European and UK Patent Offices as role develops.
