Job summary

CAPTRON NORTH AMERICA is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented bookkeeper/accounting specialist for a part-time, hybrid role based in Fort Mill, SC. The position supports day-to-day financial operations, ensures accurate records, and coordinates with our external accounting firm. Work is primarily remote with occasional Fort Mill office visits.

The role covers bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial reporting, with 15–20 weekly hours and flexibility during closing periods.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
• Strong QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and payroll.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Inventory, fixed asset, manufacturing, or small-business accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks.
• Prepare P&L, liquidity, cash flow, and routine management reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Prepare and process payroll; track expenses and fixed assets.
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of recurring monthly expenses.
• Support inventory reporting, reconciliations, and physical counts.
• Coordinate with the external accounting firm on tax documentation, inquiries, and year-end closing.
• Document basic financial processes and recommend practical improvements.
