Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. seeks a Paralegal to support its U.S. Corporate Legal team across multiple states. The role focuses on corporate governance, entity management, licensing and regulatory registrations, and closing document coordination for cross-border matters.

The position reports to Senior Counsel, U.S. Corporate Legal, is based in Mount Laurel, NJ, and operates on a hybrid schedule. 0–4 years of paralegal experience is welcomed with strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, bachelor’s degree, or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution.
• 0–4 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with formation, qualification, maintenance, and dissolution of corporations, LLCs, and other entities across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.
• Prepare and file certificates of formation, articles of incorporation, amendments, mergers, and annual reports.
• Coordinate Secretary of State filings and obtain certificates and documents.
• Maintain entity qualifications and track deadlines; assist with annual reports and good standing maintenance.
• Review routine contracts and assist attorneys with contract administration.
