Job summary

DLA Piper's New York office is seeking a Paralegal – Leveraged Finance to support attorneys with a range of substantive case, matter, and entity duties. You will draft documents, compile and summarize information, and coordinate communication among clients, lenders, and counsel.

The role involves close interaction with the legal team to manage documents and closing processes. Ideal candidates have strong Word/Excel/Outlook skills and experience with Relativity, LexisNexis, or Westlaw.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or a Paralegal certificate preferred.
• 1 year paralegal experience with bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal cert; otherwise 5 years of legal support in the practice area.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drafts of legal and other documents for attorney review.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, outside counsel, and vendors.
• File UCC Financing Statements and organize closing documents.
• Prepare closing books, checklists, and minute books; assist with DocuSign/signature packets.
