Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Paralegal for Tax Controversy & Salt in New York with hybrid work options. You will draft documents, perform cite-checking, and coordinate between attorneys, clients, and vendors to support complex matters.

Responsibilities include organizing witness materials, managing case databases, and eDiscovery tooling. Must have strong Word/Excel/Outlook skills and relevant paralegal credentials or experience.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
• 1 year Paralegal experience with degree/certificate; otherwise 5 years in legal support.

Responsibilities

• Draft simple pleadings and assist attorneys with major motions and filings.
• Perform cite-checking, Blue Booking, and Shepardizing of memoranda.
• Organize documents for witness interviews, depositions, hearings, trials or arbitrations.
• Review and maintain document databases for case tracking and discovery.
• Utilize Relativity and other litigation technology including eDiscovery and data rooms.
• eFile documents in State and Federal Courts and coordinate service of documents.
• Research information for a case, person or subject via online sources.
• Assist attorneys at depositions, hearings, trials or arbitrations.
• Manage data rooms and matter files.
