Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an Order Entry Specialist to support its Operations team during a critical seasonal period. The role involves processing customer orders from multiple channels and ensuring accuracy and speed in entry using Microsoft Dynamics and internal systems.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in administrative or customer service roles, strong data entry and keyboarding skills, and the ability to navigate several systems at once.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of administrative, customer service, order entry, data entry, call center support, or office support experience.
• Experience in high-volume transaction processing environment preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
• Experience with ERP or CRM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review orders for completeness and accuracy before entry.
• Maintain high levels of speed and accuracy while processing daily order volumes.
• Enter and update customer information within Microsoft Dynamics and internal systems.
• Investigate missing or incomplete information needed for order fulfillment.
• Resolve order discrepancies and identify data errors before orders are processed.
• Maintain orders placed on hold and proactively work toward resolution.
• Follow up with customers regarding missing information, order clarifications, and order completion requirements.
• Communicate primarily through email with occasional phone outreach and provide timely customer service.
• Process incoming mail and supporting documentation.
• Maintain records and documentation related to customer orders.
• Communicate customer feedback to appropriate internal teams.
• Support additional operational tasks as assigned.
