Job summary

Talentify seeks a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to prep patients for on-site or remote exams, perform pre-exam tests, and clearly explain each step. You will liaise between patients and Optometrists, assist with registrations, insurance preauthorizations, and EMR documentation.

The role requires one year of related experience, healthcare background preferred, and strong customer service. Training provided, with a focus on accuracy and patient care across locations.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office/business professionalism required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient registration and gather pertinent information including Medical History and Ocular Health data into EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with patient care and eye examinations; explain preliminary tests and document results in EMR.
• Support remote appointments by guiding patients through remote eye exams and documenting results in EMR.
• Transition patients to a retail associate with recommended follow-up and plan.
• Preauthorize insurance per SOP and schedule appointments while handling no-shows and cancellations.
• Maintain patient flow to support doctor effectiveness and answer clinical questions.
