Talentify in Massachusetts is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to prepare patients for onsite and remote eye exams, perform pre-exam tests, and explain each step of the process. The role acts as a liaison between patients and Optometrists and supports the initial steps of the patient journey.

The position involves registration, EMR documentation, insurance preauthorizations, and coordinating both in-store and remote visits with training provided.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred
• Medical office/business professionalism required
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
• Training provided

Responsibilities

• Complete patient registration and document medical history in EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with eye examinations and explain tests.
• Support remote eye exams including pre-testing and video conferencing.
• Transition patients to a retail associate with doctor recommendations.
• Preauthorize insurance per SOP and schedule exams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and patient flow.
• Instruct patients on contact lens care.
• Travel to other locations as needed.
