Job summary

Talentify seeks a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to prepare patients for onsite or remote exams, perform pre-exam tests, and explain steps. You will liaise between patients and Optometrists and help initiate the patient journey, including insurance preauthorization and appointment scheduling.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible schedules, including travel to other locations.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience required.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office professionalism required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for on-site or remote examination.
• Explain preliminary testing steps to patients and document results in EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with eye exams and manage remote exam processes.
• Coordinate with retail staff to schedule appointments and manage exam books.
• Maintain patient records and educate patients on contact lens use and care.
