Job summary

Talentify is seeking a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to ensure a great patient experience by preparing patients for examinations, performing pre-exam testing, and explaining each step. The role liaises between patients and Optometrists and supports both in-person and remote examination workflows.

The position requires at least one year of related experience and a healthcare background, with training provided.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office/business professionalism required.
• Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for on-site and remote examinations and complete pre-exam tests.
• Assist onsite doctor with patient care and eye examinations and document results in EMR.
• Support remote eye exams: pre-testing, remote conferencing, and additional testing.
• Transition patients to retail staff with doctor recommendations.
• Preauthorize insurance and manage appointments and exam books.
