Job summary

DeWinter Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee a high-volume, full-cycle AP operation supporting multiple locations and departments. This hands-on role reports to the Controller and focuses on improving and modernizing AP processes during an organizational transition.

The ideal candidate balances daily invoice responsibilities with improvement initiatives, coordinating payments and ensuring strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in accounts payable management.
• Experience with Financial Edge NXT preferred.
• Ability to review AP transactions for accuracy and proper approvals.
• Experience across multiple locations or funding sources a plus.
• Experience implementing or supporting AP automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-volume, full-cycle AP across multiple locations.
• Manage vendor payments, invoice review, and voucher processing.
• Support month-end close and GL postings for AP activity.
• Coordinate weekly check printing and payment runs.
• Drive process enhancements toward electronic payables and banking.
• Collaborate with Controller and accounting team during transition.
