Job summary

SFCLT is seeking a Development Associate to support fundraising, communications, membership, and community engagement. This highly collaborative role serves as the operational backbone of the Development team, ensuring donor stewardship, gift processing, events, volunteer engagement, and communications run smoothly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years in nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, communications, or related roles.
• Experience maintaining donor databases or CRM systems (Bloomerang preferred).
• Familiarity with communities affected by gentrification or housing inequity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Development Operations and Donor Stewardship, including donor records and gift processing.
• Coordinate fundraising events, receptions, community gatherings, and campaigns.
• Manage membership renewals, communications, and volunteer recruitment/onboarding.
• Track campaigns, grant activity, and project management tasks to meet deadlines.
• Help produce newsletters, website updates, and donor materials to strengthen fundraising.
