Job summary

CENIC in La Mirada, CA is seeking a Network Administrator for a full-time, hybrid role reporting to the Manager, Network Operations. You will monitor networks, triage alarms, and coordinate with Network Engineers to resolve outages.

The position emphasizes customer service, proactive monitoring, and documentation. Candidates should have 1–2 years in live networks, relevant certifications, and a solid understanding of IP networking and security practices.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years supporting customers in a live network production environment.
• Completed formal courses or earned recognized certifications in networking.
• Engineering education and/or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with installing, upgrading, and securing network equipment and services.
• Experience using a ticketing system and network monitoring platform.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage network alarms.
• Coordinate with Network Engineers to resolve outages.
• Respond to service requests via phone and ticketing system.
• Assist with hub site access and notifications of outages/maintenance.
• Process maintenance activities and change requests.
• Update documentation and inventory of equipment.
• Participate in special projects within operations.
