Job summary

CENIC is seeking a Network Administrator to monitor and maintain California’s education and research network. The role is hybrid in La Mirada, CA, with 1–2 years in a live network environment and formal networking training.

The position involves incident response, ticketing, coordination with Network Engineers, and ongoing documentation. Evening/weekend work may be required to meet network demands.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supporting customers and resolving issues in a live network production environment.
• Completed formal courses or earned recognized certifications in networking.
• Experience with installing, upgrading, and securing network equipment and services.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks to detect problems and resolve them with assistance from Network Engineers as needed.
• Respond to alarms, emails, and tickets.
• Troubleshoot with carriers, vendors, and Network Engineers.
