Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Network Assurance Engineer to manage outage incidents, communications, and change management for a Public Sector customer. The role ensures high network availability and service levels in a round-the-clock environment.

The team collaborates across internal and external groups to maintain performance. In this hybrid position, you will monitor global networks, communicate outages, and resolve complex issues while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant experience.
• Three or more years of experience as a network assurance engineer.
• Advanced IP and Routing experience.
• Must have, or qualify for, and maintain a U.S. government clearance at the Public Trust level.
• Must be able to participate in the on-call rotation which requires work on evenings and weekends during your week of rotation.

Responsibilities

• Apply broad surveillance techniques to monitor data across global networks and report customer impact.
• Manage and communicate network outages to internal teams and external customers during events.
• Apply in-depth technical knowledge to resolve complex issues.
• Build relationships with customers and support teams.
• Collaborate with automation teams to identify process improvements and automation.
• Identify system constraints and recommend performance improvements.
