Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Surgery seeks a Preclinical and Clerkship Medical Student Coordinator to support the educational mission by acting as a liaison between students and teaching faculty and residents.

You will oversee planning and execution of clerkship activities, assist with NBME proctoring, and coordinate with faculty to ensure smooth operation of the MS3 Core Clerkship and Flex Week experiences. This hybrid role requires strong organization and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• No prior experience required.
• Combination of education and relevant experience considered in lieu of education/experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support clerkship activities for medical students.
• Onboard students at rotation sites and manage access (badge, parking, etc.).
• Manage grade evaluations and timely reporting of student grades.
• Collaborate with clerkship coordinators to standardize practices across the school of medicine.
