Job summary

Neighborcare Health in Seattle, WA seeks a Patient Support Specialist - Georgetown to serve as the primary contact for patients with billing questions, coordinate GFEs and payment plans, and connect patients with financial assistance and charity care.

This hybrid, 1.0 FTE role focuses on revenue cycle activities, working with clinics, families, and referral facilities to streamline billing, apply discounts, and ensure transparent, affordable care.

Qualifications

• Experience handling patient billing inquiries and collections.
• Ability to explain insurance benefits and financial assistance options clearly.
• Familiarity with charity care and Medicaid/assistance programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide billing support and answer patient questions.
• Set up GFEs and explain financial obligations.
• Coordinate with clinics and referral facilities for charity care or discounts.
• Update PCP information to Neighborcare Health to reduce referral delays.
• Process payments, co-pays, and account balances timely.
• Negotiate payment plans based on patients' financial situations.
• Pre-screen patients for charity/Medicaid eligibility.
• Make up to 100 calls daily regarding balances and inquiries.
