Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to provide care for client employees at our Health Center in Columbus, IN. This hybrid role supports both clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to a seamless patient experience.

The position requires MA certification (CMA or approved program) with externship, hands-on BLS, and familiarity with EKGs and laboratory testing. Prior MA experience is preferred, and compliance with state regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA or MA program certificate/diploma with externship completed
• Current hands-on BLS certification (AHA/ARC or equivalent) required
• State Lab Certificate (NV) only if applicable
• CMA certification from recognized bodies (SC-only clause) may apply
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain up-to-date patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications including injections; perform labs and EKGs as allowed by state law.
• Support front desk tasks: scheduling, calls, and supply orders.

Education

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certificate or diploma

Externship completed during MA program
