Job summary

HealthNet is seeking a Medical Assistant to deliver a range of patient care services across health centers in Indiana. You will prep rooms, assist physicians, perform lab work, administer injections, and support patients and families with education and information.

The role is full-time across various health centers, with hours that may include evenings, Saturdays, and rotating shifts to meet center needs.

Qualifications

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within one month of hire.
• Requires high school diploma or GED completion.
• Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Equivalency accepted for foreign degrees.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Call patients for next day appointments.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, medical records, and patient for visits.
• Assist providers in patient exams and treatments.
• Perform general lab work.
• Administer injections and immunizations, and phlebotomy.
• Provide patient education and clerical support.
• Collect patient information.
