IMEG in Inland Empire, CA, seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead design efforts for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection on education projects, acting as project manager or lead engineer for moderate complexity work.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets, collaborate with engineers and consultants, ensure code compliance, and drive energy-efficient design aligned with IMEG standards.

Travel up to 10%, full-time hybrid schedule, PE license required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• PE License is required for the role.
• 2+ years of building design consulting experience (4+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems per code and IMEG standards.
• Collaborate with clients to capture needs and build relationships.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
