Job summary

IMEG Corp in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead design efforts for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems on education and government projects. You will act as a project manager or lead engineer, collaborating with senior staff to deliver mid-to-high complexity work and mentor junior colleagues.

Candidate should hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering and PE license, with 5–6 years of building design consulting experience, and be able to travel up to 15% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building design consulting; 6+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Create detailed designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interface with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical details effectively.
• Manage project planning, budgets, and schedules to meet deadlines.
