Job summary

Acuity Inc. in Decatur, GA is offering the BUILD program, a two-year rotational experience for high-potential early-career talent. Participants rotate every six months to build business acumen and technical proficiency across function areas with mentor support from a Mechanical Engineering leader.

This role focuses on mechanical engineering foundations, CAD design, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration, with rotations in multiple locations and a January 11, 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and thermodynamics fundamentals.
• Experience creating CAD designs; SolidWorks preferred, other CAD acceptable.
• Some product design experience and prototyping/fabrication exposure preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual design work and CAD development.
• Prototype creation and validation, plus certification testing.
• Create supporting documentation and facilitate factory handoff.
• Engage in project management across rotating assignments.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams.
