Job summary

Acuity Inc. on-site in Atlanta seeks early-career Electrical Engineering graduates for the BUILD Leadership Program. You will rotate across functional tracks every six months to build business and technical skills, contributing to new product development, sustaining/VAVE, and other strategic areas.

The program emphasizes learning agility, ownership, and collaboration, with a structured mentorship and leadership exposure, preparing you for long-term growth within Acuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving and time‑management skills are required.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Intermediate general proficiency with AI tools is required.
• Exposure to electronic component selection, circuit analysis, and SPICE simulation.
• Exposure to Altium Designer or other CAD tools.
• Exposure to developing products for the lighting and/or LED industry.
• Exposure to firmware development or embedded systems programming.
• Availability to travel based on business needs (up to 20%).
• Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes is highly preferred.
• Team‑oriented with a drive to take the initiative is highly preferred.
• Less than two years of related work experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development track.
• Sustaining/VAVE track.
• Other rotations aligned with current business needs (e.g., Optical Engineering, Outsourced Product Development, Product Support, Product Management, Project Management, Tech Support/Field Service, Labs & Certifications).
• Participate in onboarding, mentorship, and leadership report‑outs.
