Job summary

TC Energy in the United States is seeking a Material Coordinator to provide end-to-end coordination of project materials across the lifecycle, partnering with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Construction to ensure materials are available for safe, timely execution.

The role involves reviewing BOMs, preparing MRFs, SAP requisitions, expediting shipments, maintaining the Material Status Report, and coordinating with Expeditors and Warehouse teams to meet RAS dates and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 8+ years' experience in materials management, project management, or construction management.
• Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a large, geographically diverse organization.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Material, and other technical documents.
• Familiarity with API and ASME material specifications.
• Deep understanding of basic materials procurement processes.
• Understanding of the project life cycle.
• Experience with Microsoft desktop software, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP, SharePoint, and Power BI is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end materials management across the project lifecycle.
• Review BOMs with Project Engineer to identify TC-supplied materials and milestones.
• Prepare Material Request Forms (MRF) and convert approved MRFs into SAP requisitions.
• Request quotes, engage Project Engineer, and manage supplier submittals.
• Monitor Material Status Report and inform Project Manager of delivery risks.
• Expedite critical components and ensure timely delivery to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate with Expeditors, Warehouse, and field teams to support RAS dates.
• Maintain documentation including MTRs, certificates, and drawings.
• Identify surplus materials for transfer or inventory recovery.
