Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a skilled M365 Systems Administrator to manage and optimize the Microsoft stack, including Entra ID, M365, InTune, AutoPilot, and Defender ATP. You will own the enterprise endpoint patch management program across Windows and macOS, coordinating with Cybersecurity on vulnerabilities and change management.

The role is hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA, Edison, NJ, or Bend, OR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years minimum experience as a M365 System Administrator or equivalent.
• Knowledge of major Microsoft cloud-based systems including Entra ID, M365, InTune, AutoPilot, Enterprise Mobility + Security, Defender ATP, etc.
• Powershell scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based change management processes, including CAB submissions, risk assessments and rollback planning.
• Experience with Freshservice for incident, change, and request management.
• Experience supporting M&A or tenant migration projects in a Microsoft 365 environment is a plus.
• Customer escalation and conflict resolution skills required.
• Resource planning and mitigation management.

Responsibilities

• Manage Entra ID and M365 tenant day-to-day tasks: user provisioning, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, roles and permissions.
• Collaborate with cloud and network teams to optimize end-user computing.
• Handle endpoint patching via third-party tools and Microsoft Autopatch/Intune.
• Create technical documentation for implementations and break-fix solutions.
• Develop end-user documentation and FAQs for ongoing needs.
• Monitor outages and trends in Microsoft stack applications.
• Partner with IT teams to implement standards and best practices.
• Develop project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
• Design monitoring, configuration management and reporting solutions.
• Maintain patch compliance dashboards for leadership visibility.
• Submit change requests in Freshservice with CAB approvals.
• Participate in CAB meetings, presenting risk and rollback plans.
• Manage Intune policies, AutoPilot deployment profiles, and Defender ATP configurations.
• Support M&A migrations: tenant provisioning, mail routing, and policy alignment.
• Develop SOPs and runbooks for Windows updates and patch cycles.
